How to Prepare/ What to Bring

Our trip to China is going to be very fun and very profitable, and we'll do most of the work for you. But there are some things each seminar attendee will have to do themselves. Here are a few things you will need to prepare:

A Valid Passport.  Make sure you have one, and make sure it's not expired. For more information on obtaining a passport click here.

A Visa. You need a "Tourist Visa" to enter China from the US on this trip. Though it's a good idea to apply for your Visa as soon as you can, you need to make sure it doesn't expire by the time the trip rolls around. Here is the site we used to learn about and apply for our visas, but there are many more out there.

Your Airfare . Though we considered including this in the cost of the seminar, we soon realized the logistical nightmare trying to co-ordinate all over the country. Not to mention the inflation in the price of seminar, to cover our travel-arranging time. So each attendee is responsible for his or her own airfare.  As far as pricing estimates go, we can only tell you that our Roundtrip airfare from Atlanta ranges anywhere between $900-1400. Obviously the sooner you make your arrangements, the more affordable they will be.

The flight lasts roughly 20 hours, with an average of 1-2 stops along the way.  We advise you to dress comfortably and although movies are shown almost continuously, it's wise to bring plenty of reading material.  Beverages and food will be provided.

What to Pack. China will be warm in late April (For more weather information, click here.) Since we will be doing a good mix of walking and meeting up with business agents, it's smart to pack both business casual and sport-casual clothes. Good walking shoes are a must!  The only other thing you might want to consider bringing from the U.S. is any medicine you're accustomed to.  

Health-Related Items. Please see your doctor or visit www.cdc.gov for the latest requirements on health and vaccination requirements. Don't rely on Chinese drug stores to have your favorite simple remedies like Advil and allergy or heartburn medicine. Pack any of that you think you might need.

NOTE: Prescription drugs must be in their original containers!

Here are a few suggestions of other items you may wish to include in your "first aid kit":

• Tylenol, aspirin
• Pepto-Bismol, Kaopectate (antidiarrhea medicine)
• Sunscreen
• Multivitamins
• Medicine for travel sickness
• Antibiotic (need prescription from your doctor)
• Motion sickness medicine
• Cold medicine

Contact Lens Wearers: If you wear contact lenses, you have a few options available. We highly recommend that if you have glasses, you wear them instead of your contacts, but if you choose not to then you might want to bring a supply of distilled water with you or bring a water purifier.
